Before you start

All you need is a FleetGrow account — no credit card, free to start. FleetGrow works for rental operators (Turo, local rentals) and for any business running its own fleet of 1–20 vehicles.

Tip: Have your registration and insurance expiry dates handy — FleetGrow reminds you 30 days before each one lapses. The actual document files (title, insurance, registration, inspection) attach separately, after the car exists.

Add your first vehicle

  1. 1
Open Fleet and add a car
Go to Fleet in the sidebar and click Add car.
  2. 2
Enter the VIN, or fill in manually
FleetGrow fills in the make, model, year, trim and 12 more specs from NHTSA. You can also enter everything by hand.
  3. 3
Set renewal reminders and add a photo
In the Renewals section, set the plate/registration and insurance expiry dates. A photo is optional — cars without one show a placeholder.
  4. 4
    Save
The vehicle appears in your fleet grid with its own profile: trips, maintenance history, finance and documents in one view.

Log your first trip

Trips are how FleetGrow tracks utilization and income. Open Trips, click Add trip, pick the vehicle, dates and earnings — done. The trip lands on the calendar and the income shows up in Finance automatically.

Note: Overlapping trips for the same vehicle are flagged so you never double-book a car.

See where your money goes

Every trip, service record and expense you log feeds the Financesection: earned vs. spent per vehicle, monthly P&L and a year-end tax report you can export. No spreadsheet required.
